Bangalore Queer Film Festival – Call for Entries 2016


The organizers of the Bangalore Queer Film Festival have announced that the festival is accepting films for the 2016 edition.

The festival held every year in the city of Bangalore (India) shows films with themes related to the LGBT community. The first edition was presented in 2003 and since then it served as a space for the LGBT community to show their concerns through the medium of moving images. The festival not only shows movies but also offers the audience artwork exhibitions, photo exhibitions and various live performances.

The festival is accepting submissions for short and full-length features, short and long documentaries, animation and experimental films.

- The festival accepts films made in 2013 and after with themes related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and other queer populations. Films that challenge traditional gender and sex / sexuality notions, films about sex and desire, sex work, BDSM and other queer quirkinesses are welcome.
- All movies should have English subtitles.
- No charges are levied on submission. Only films that do not charge screening fees will be accepted.
